In a perfect world, computers would always work the first time, every time. There wouldn't be bugs, viruses, crashes, hardware failure, or evil hackers out on the internet. But we don't live in a perfect world. In the world in which we live, we see all of these things on a daily basis.

One of the things that we've come to accept in our field is the monthly set of patches from Microsoft. That's right... Microsoft unveils new patches for us on the second Tuesday of each month. This is normally nothing to get excited about as it's a monthly occurrence. All of our maintenance customers have this covered for their servers. We log in during off-hours, install patches, reboot (if necessary) and move on to the next server. For those customers with special timing needs, we work with you for a convenient time to get this all taken care of.
