Going Green
I'm always telling people how I wake up every day looking forward to work. I love every part of it, from learning about something new almost every day to helping build a great company with great employees. What makes it even better though is one of our latest initiatives, Going Green. It's quite a buzz-phrase lately and there's no time better than now to jump on the bandwagon!
Not only have we started a recycling program in our office and began purchasing "green energy" at our data center, but we're building our entire Tech Expo this year around a "Going Green" theme. We're very excited about it and hopefully after reading this blog post, you will be too.
 This year, the 3rd Annual Core3 Solutions Tech Expo will be Going Green. The event will be from 11am to 3pm on July 9th here at Core3.
We've brought back in the Microsoft Across America Truck and some of our vendors from last year, but we've also invited along quite a few more. Among them are SpamStopsHere, Batteries Plus, Ohm Digital, PAETEC (formerly McLeodUSA), and more! One of the most fitting though is re.Source Partners, who will be assisting us with the collection and recycling of computer systems we are encouraging you to bring to us. In fact, with each computer, monitor or battery you bring to be recycled, we'll give you an additional entry into our great prize drawing!
Returning for the second year in a row, we're giving away a brand-new Dell Vostro laptop along with quite a few other great prizes, all of which will be posted soon to our Expo website. We'll also be featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of our new retail location, a coney stand for some great lunch snacks, a Good Humor ice cream stand, and some thirst-quenching Dale and Thomas lemonade.
