Internship Program Announced
New Internship Program announced in cooperation with New Horizons Computer Learning Center.
 As part of an innovative collaboration between Core3 Solutions and New Horizons, a leading provider of learning solutions for Information Technology, PC Desktop Applications, Project Management, Business Skills, and Healthcare Information Management training, Core3 is now offering internships to students in New Horizons Microsoft Server and Desktop solution training programs. Students at New Horizons can take day or evening classes usually 1-2 weeks in duration to get class room and lab experience and prepare for Microsoft, Cisco, and other vendor certifications.
We want to give opportunities to young students or experienced workers who now want to enter the IT field. It's especially exciting for me since I was a student of New Horizons 5 years ago. When I moved to Michigan in 2004 I could find work, even with 7 years IT work experience. That is until I found New Horizons. Three months later I had 3 new certifications which only strengthened my resume and helped me land the job here at Core3.
This Internship allows those with certifications to come to Core3 and get 160 hours of actual on the job experience. We want to help individuals who are passionate about this field and want to get their foot in the door. We're putting them through a 1 week training on our processes, best practices, software solutions, and tools used in our industry and then letting them get their hands dirty for the remaining 3 or 4 weeks.
We're also helping coach these individuals to succeed by assisting them with their resumes and interview skills to better position them to in landing a job in the IT field. New Horizons has also invited me attend one of their resume writing classes and present on the best ways to make yourself stand out in an interview.
We're excited for this new opportunity and hope to give many students some extra experience and assistance in landing their dream job in the IT field.
