Something interesting happened to me on the way to work this morning. I heard a radio commercial with a call to action (CTA) of "follow us on Twitter at twitter.com/xxxx". So, instead of the business intending on quickly converting the lead, by having their CTA be a phone number or website landing page, they would rather the lead follow them on Twitter....

Wow! It has been really great being in one building with people that share the same passion for technology, search engine marketing, social media and web analytics as I do! Upon coming to PubCon I was a bit confused on how the name “PubCon” came into play, (while knowing the last part was short for conference).

It begin in the 1980’s when a group of technology enthusiasts would get together to discuss the hottest topics and trends in the techie realm, while having a couple of beers, hence the beginning part of the name “Pub”. It has evolved since then and the topics discussed have changed with the online media trends. Both days full of panelist presentations gave me further insight into each of these ever-changing media areas, as well as giving actionable deliverables to take away and implement for our clients. ...
